How do set bonuses work?

Wearing even two pieces of the same set starts a bonus. Which two matters — Helmet + Pauldron and Pads + Boots don't give the same bonus.

The values in the bonus table are added directly to your character. HP and MP are straight HP/mana; STR / DEX / INT / MP stat stack on top of the points you spent.

To set up your character and see total AP/AC/HP use the Character Builder; set bonuses are counted there too.

Practical reading
  • The full set isn't always best — some 4-piece combinations give more HP.
  • Combinations with a resistance bonus make a real difference against mages.
