What is the Aset cycle and how does it work?

Short answer

Aset is the NPC that sells special items for coins, and the list it sells is not fixed. Products come in a four-period order; when the period changes the list changes and the order starts over. If you follow the cycle, you wait for the product you need to open at the NPC instead of overpaying for it in the market.

What Aset is for

Aset does two jobs. First, it pulls excess coins out of the game. You pay in coins, and those coins are deleted from the game.

Second, it sells items that are hard to find in the market directly to players. Wings, tattoos, buff scrolls and pots come this way.

Because the list is per period, not every product is open all the time. A product you can't buy today opens again when its turn comes.

The four-period order

Period Products that come to the list
Period 1 Battlefield Hero's Wing and Lunar Tattoo (30-day)
Period 2 Minerva Set, Special Defense Scroll, Priest's Prayer
Period 3 Pathos Gloves, 3-pack Buff Scroll (2200 HP, 380 AC, 22% Attack)
Period 4 Ibex and Crisis Potion, Special Nereids, 90% Resurrection Scroll, Pet Buff Scroll, Equipment Confirmation Item, Stat Scroll (L)

When the fourth period ends the order goes back to the first. The contents can change with updates, so check the NPC list yourself when a period opens.

What it does to the market

When a product enters the list, supply rises. Everyone can buy it from the NPC, so the market price drops toward the NPC price.

When the product leaves the list the opposite happens. Remaining stock shrinks and the market price goes up.

The NPC price works like a floor. If you see a price well above that number in the market, first check whether the product is on the list right now.

That's why following the periods is really market knowledge. If you're buying, buy while the period is open; if you're selling, sell while it's closed.

How to follow the cycle

  1. When you log in after maintenance, open the Aset NPC's list and see what came.
  2. Make your needs list. Write down which pots, scrolls or cosmetics you need this period.
  3. Add up the coin cost of the products and see how many GB it is. 1 GB = 100,000,000 coins.
  4. Divide that amount by your hourly farm income. You'll see how many hours of farming it takes.
  5. Record what you bought as an expense in the bank ledger. At the end of the month you'll see where your coins went.

In what order to spend your budget

  • Consumables first. Pots and buff scrolls go every day. When they run out, farming stops too.
  • Then timed items. Wing, Lunar Tattoo and Minerva expire after a set number of days. Time the purchase to a period when you'll play actively.
  • Cosmetics and rare items last. They don't raise farm income, only looks and comfort.
  • If there's a product you use all the time, stock up before the period closes. Buying the same product from the market next month usually costs more.
Coin prices and period contents can change with updates. Before buying, put the NPC price and the market price side by side and buy from whichever is cheaper.

Frequently asked

Coins. That's why the Aset period directly concerns your farm budget. Divide the total of the products you'll buy by 100,000,000 and you'll see how many GB it is.

It leaves the NPC list; you can't buy it there until its turn comes again. The stock in players' hands keeps selling in the market, but the price usually rises.

Usually not while the period is open, because the NPC price is the floor. If the period is closed there's no other choice. Compare both prices and decide.

From time to time DC and War premium holders are offered a cheaper option on the Ibex and Crisis pot side. If such a period comes along, pot cost drops, and that changes the premium payback math.
