How to read the list
The "Per hour" column shows how many drop on average if you farm one hour without a break in that area. 0.15 means about one every six and a half hours. Because drops are down to luck you'll see results that don't match the table over a short run; the numbers settle over the long run.
The "Areas" column says how many different places that item drops in. For an item that drops in one area you have no choice; for an item that drops in ten you can pick the most efficient one.
Prices are market prices and they move. If an item's value drops, that area's hourly income drops too; so use the numbers as a comparison tool, not as absolute truth.

"Best area" is the place that drops the item most per hour. The same item can drop in other areas too, but less often; see the alternatives area by area in the Drop Guide.
Is chasing rare items worth it?
The two most expensive items in the table are also the rarest drops. Dragon Flight Boots is worth 45 M but drops 0.02 per hour — fifty hours on average. That makes 0.9 M per hour; standing there just for it earns less than the areas at the top of the list.
By contrast, Blessed Upgrade Scroll looks cheap at 2.2 M but drops in 36 different areas and comes 1.2 per hour at Paramun. That's 2.6 M per hour, more than the rare item.
The rule: don't measure a drop's value by its price alone. Multiply the price by the drop rate and find what it brings per hour. The Farm Calculator adds this up for all drops and gives the hourly income.
If you're after a specific item
- Find the item in the table, note the best area.
- Check that area's monster level. If your level is above the monster level + 7, nothing drops.
- See how many drop per hour, work out how many hours it takes.
- Compare how many coins you'd earn in another area in the same time.
- Buying the item from the market is usually cheaper than farming it; don't decide without comparing.

Things that affect the drop rate
- Level penalty. If your character level is 8 above the monster's, boxes never drop and the rate table no longer applies.
- Premium. The drop multiplier in this site's math is 1.3; with premium the hourly count rises by about a third.
- Party. A dropped item goes to one person; splitting doesn't change the drop rate but it lowers what each person gets.
- Event periods. In hours with increased drops, the numbers in the table shift up.
- Slot crowding. Waiting for monsters at busy hours lowers the hourly rate; the table assumes uninterrupted farming.
