Why "8 hours" doesn't hold
The forums have said the same thing for years: the boss spawns every 8 hours. The value in the game's own monster table is 32,000 seconds — that is 8 hours 53 minutes 20 seconds.
The 53 minutes in between looks small but it piles up every cycle. If you killed the boss at 21:00 in the evening, the next one comes at 05:53, not 05:00. The one after at 14:46, the next at 23:40. That's a four-hour drift over three cycles. This is usually the reason behind the "I came on time, no boss" complaint.
The right method isn't watching the clock; it's noting the last death time and adding 8 hours 53 minutes. The boss doesn't come at a fixed hour, it comes on a timer that counts from the moment it was killed.

The "Spawn points" column shows how many separate places on the map the boss can spawn in. Talos and Snake Queen can come out at 16 points — which is why waiting at a single spot doesn't work. The exact coordinates of every boss are in the monster guide.
All 21 bosses in the table use the same timer. So there's no respawn difference between Lobo in Ardream and Isiloon in Hell Abyss; the difference is only level, HP and how many points they spawn at.
What stands out is the number of spawn points. For a 16-point boss the right strategy isn't waiting in one place but touring the points or splitting them up as a clan. That also explains why boss hunting isn't done solo.
Other respawn times
| Time | In hours | Who |
|---|---|---|
| 1,800 s | 30 minutes | Small elites within zones |
| 3,600 s | 1 hour | Riote, Atross, Flame Rock, Caitharos, the Isiloon in Isillion Lair |
| 7,200 s | 2 hours | Chaos Stone |
| 10,000 s | 2 hours 47 minutes | Orc bandit, Dark eyes, Dire wolf, Shadow seeker |
| 14,400 s | 4 hours | Ronark Land elites |
| 32,000 s | 8 hours 53 minutes | The 21 bosses above |
Isiloon exists in two separate places with different times: 8 hours 53 minutes in Hell Abyss, 1 hour in Isillion Lair. A boss with the same name can come on a different timer on a different map.
Which boss is in which zone?
Ardream: the most crowded boss zone
Lobo, Lupus, Duke, Barrkk, Bach, Barkirra, Lycaon, Bishop, Lesath, attila, Shaula and Samma — twelve bosses spawn in Ardream. The level range is 45 to 90, HP between 17,790 and 104,370.
That makes Ardream the most productive boss zone for low and mid level. Most of the bosses spawn at 2-5 points, so finding them by touring is possible.
Eslant: the big bosses are here
Troll King, Talos, Harpy Queen, Snake Queen, Deruvish founder and Dragon tooth are in Eslant. All of them spawn at the same number of points in both El Morad and Karus Eslant — set up completely symmetrically for the two sides.
The toughest is Talos: level 140, 220,000 HP, 2,016 defense and 255 resistance to lightning. Troll King's resistance is 1,000/1,000/56 — tough against fire and ice, weak against lightning. For mages that difference means time directly.
Ronark Land and special areas
Luferson Castle has two bosses: level 50 Antares and level 45 Hyde, both at five points. These are only on the Karus side — they have no counterparts in El Morad Castle. An El Morad character wanting to kill bosses at low level has to go to Ardream.
In Ronark Land the Chaos Stone comes on a 2-hour timer, the Orc bandit leader on a 4-hour timer. Ronark Land Monument and Hell Fire are not timed.
Isiloon in Hell Abyss (level 170, 1,300,015 HP) and Felankor in Felankor Lair (level 230, 1,981,241 HP) are a separate category. Felankor is the strongest boss in the game: 8,453 defense and 1,200 resistance to all three elements.
Event bosses don't come on a timer
The respawn value in the monster table for bosses like Felankor, Hell Fire, Minotaur, Bone Dragon and Ronark Land Monument is 20-30 seconds or empty. That doesn't mean "it spawns every half minute" — these bosses are placed by an event or a quest, not by a timer. The value in the table only says how long it takes to settle into place after being placed.
So there's no point watching the clock for Felankor; you have to follow the announcement. The same goes for Bone Dragon and Minotaur in Juraid Mountain: they're on the event map, they come at event time.
Which event starts when is on the event times page.
What happens to the timer if the server restarts?
It resets. Because the respawn timer depends on the server's uptime, maintenance or an unexpected restart shifts every boss time.
In practice: a boss killed at 21:00 should come at 05:53, but if the server restarts at 02:00 the boss comes on the timer that starts after 02:00. The time you noted is no longer valid.
That's why when writing down boss times you also have to follow maintenance announcements. If the server was restarted you have to set the timer up again from scratch.
Common mistakes while waiting for a boss
- Counting 8 hours and going. The right time is 8 hours 53 minutes; whoever comes 53 minutes early finds nobody.
- Memorizing a fixed hour. The timer starts from the moment the boss dies, not from the top of the hour. Every cycle drifts 53 minutes.
- Waiting at one point. Talos and Snake Queen can spawn at 16 separate points; locking onto one point cuts the chance to one in sixteen.
- Ignoring maintenance. If the server restarted, every time you noted is invalid.
- Going without reading the resistances. Troll King's lightning resistance is 56 while fire and ice are 1,000; hitting with the wrong element is wasted effort.
- Waiting for an event boss on a timer. Felankor and Bone Dragon don't come on a timer, they come with an announcement.
