Where to farm at which level?

2026-08-30 3 min read
Short answer

The rule in one sentence: if your character level is 8 or more above the monster's level, the monster stops dropping coins and boxes. So an area pays up to monster level + 7, after that it's wasted. 28 of the 42 areas are dead at level 83 for this reason; the other 14 still work at the level cap.

How exactly the level penalty works

The moment the gap between your character level and the monster's level reaches 8, that monster stops giving you coins and boxes. A gap of 7 is fine, a gap of 8 ends everything — there are no steps in between.

In practice: an area pays you up to its monster level + 7. An area with level 70 monsters works until level 77 and brings nothing at level 78.

The sneakiest part is that it's silent. Monsters keep dying, EXP keeps coming, only the coins and boxes stop. This is the most common reason your bank doesn't fill up even though you farmed for hours.

Because the character cap is 83, the penalty never triggers in areas with monster level 76 and above. The penalty is entirely a low-level monster problem.

The highest-earning areas and their level limits

Area Mob level Up to this level Hourly gross Pot cost
Eslant - Paramun 90 no penalty 25.9 M Low
Eslant - Dark Knight 70 77 20.1 M High
Eslant - Giant Golem 110 no penalty 19.4 M High
CZ - Evil Wizard 70 77 14.3 M Very high
Eslant - Raven Harpy 80 no penalty 14.0 M High
Eslant - Harpy Troll Berserker / Captain 90 no penalty 14.0 M Medium
Delos - Flame Rock / Hell Abyss Manticore 100 no penalty 12.3 M High
CZ - Balrog 100 no penalty 11.8 M Very high
Lufer - Manticore 85 no penalty 11.6 M Low
Eslant - Dark Stone 120 no penalty 11.5 M Very high
Eslant - Apostle of Cold 70 77 11.5 M Low
Eslant - Barbarian Leader 75 82 11.2 M Medium
Eslant - Satiros 80 no penalty 11.1 M High
Eslant - Titan 130 no penalty 11.0 M Very high
CZ - Boroo 83 no penalty 10.1 M High
Delos - Hobgoblin 71 78 10.0 M High
CZ - Mastodon 40 47 9.6 M Low
Eslant - Stone Golem 100 no penalty 9.3 M Medium

The "Up to this level" column is the highest character level at which that area pays you. Go above it and coins and boxes stop. Where it says "no penalty" the monster level is high enough that there's no problem even at 83.

Which areas are dead at level 83

28 of the 42 areas don't pay a level 83 character. Some of them look high on hourly income — Eslant Dark Knight is second on the list at 20.1 M but its monster level is 70, so after 78 it gives you nothing.

That leaves 14 areas working at the cap. The highest is Eslant Paramun (mob level 90, 25.9 M gross per hour) and because its pot cost is low too it widens the gap on the net side.

The most common mistake while leveling is staying in the same place out of habit. An area that earns a lot at 77 brings zero at 78; if your income stalls at a level, the first thing to check is the monster level.

Pick an area for your own level

  1. Subtract 7 from your character level. The result is the lowest monster level you can go for.
  2. From the table, set aside the areas whose monster level is equal to or above that number.
  3. Sort the rest by hourly gross, pick the top one.
  4. Look at the pot cost — an area with a slightly lower gross but low pot cost can come out ahead on net.
  5. Enter your level in the Farm Calculator, confirm you don't get the penalty in the area you picked.

Watch out while leveling

  • Before leveling up, check the limit of the area you farm. A single level can finish an area completely.
  • There's no penalty on EXP — only coins and boxes stop. You can stay above the penalty limit to level up, but you won't earn money.
  • In a party, everyone gets the penalty by their own level, not the highest-level person's. In a mixed-level party some get paid while others don't.
  • Areas with monster level 76 and above work at the cap too; in the long run you'll need to move there.
  • The incomes in the table are gross. Pots, party and penalty aren't deducted.

Frequently asked

At a gap of 8. If your character level is 8 or more above the monster's level, the monster stops dropping coins and boxes. A gap of 7 is fine.

Most likely the level penalty. Monsters keep dying and giving EXP, only coins and boxes stop. Compare the monster level of the area you farm with your own level.

Eslant - Paramun. Its monster level is 90 so there's no penalty, hourly gross 25.9 M and pot cost is low.

14 of the 42. In the other 28 the monster level is too low, so you get the penalty.

Not in this math — the penalty cuts the coin and box side. You can farm low-level monsters to level up, but you won't earn money.

No. Because the character cap is 83 the gap never reaches 8. Every area with monster level 76 and above works at the cap.
