What the coin bonus does
Coin Bonus raises the amount of coins dropped by the monsters you kill by a percentage. The rate written on the item is added straight to your earnings; if you farm 20 M per hour with a 10% bonus, you farm 22 M.
The bonus isn't fixed, it depends on the item's upgrade tier. The same item gives 1% at +1 and can go up to 15% at +10. So upgrading an item you keep for the coin bonus raises your income directly.
The tables below have every item's rate at every tier. The numbers were taken from the Rise Online Wiki.
Items that give a Coin Bonus
| Item | Rarity | Type | Lowest tier | Highest tier |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Enhanced Greed | Epic | Dagger | 3% | 18% |
| Aurora Belt | Epic | Belt | 5% | 15% |
| Brutal Impaler | Epic | Spear | 1% | 15% |
| Greed | Epic | Dagger | 1% | 15% |
| Enhanced Viper | Unique | Short Bow | 2% | 15% |
| Viper | Unique | Short Bow | 1% | 12% |
Because Aurora Belt is a belt its tiers go up to +5, the others go up to +10 because they're weapons. So Aurora Belt reaches 15% in fewer tiers.
Coin Bonus tier by tier
| Tier | Enhanced Greed | Greed / Brutal Impaler | Enhanced Viper | Viper |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| +1 | 3% | 1% | 2% | 1% |
| +2 | 4% | 2% | 2% | 1% |
| +3 | 5% | 3% | 3% | 1% |
| +4 | 6% | 4% | 4% | 2% |
| +5 | 7% | 5% | 5% | 3% |
| +6 | 8% | 6% | 6% | 4% |
| +7 | 10% | 8% | 8% | 5% |
| +8 | 12% | 10% | 10% | 7% |
| +9 | 15% | 12% | 12% | 9% |
| +10 | 18% | 15% | 15% | 12% |
The Enhanced versions are ahead of the normal versions at every tier. Enhanced Greed gives 3% even at +1 while normal Greed gives 1%.
Which one should you carry
The decision depends on your class first. Greed and Enhanced Greed are daggers, Viper and Enhanced Viper short bows, Brutal Impaler a spear — so the three address different classes. The bonus of a weapon you can't use is no use to you.
Aurora Belt is the only belt on this list, so it's the one option you can wear regardless of your weapon. Whatever your class, if you want a coin bonus that's the first place to look.
The Enhanced versions are ahead of their normal versions at every tier, and the only item reaching 18% at the top is Enhanced Greed. But the bonus alone isn't a reason to pick a weapon; if you kill slower with a low-attack weapon, your hourly income eats the percentage difference.
Items that give an EXP Bonus
| Item | Rarity | Type | Highest tier |
|---|---|---|---|
| Enhanced Greed | Epic | Dagger | 18% |
| Annihilator | Epic | Mace | 15% |
| Aurora Belt | Epic | Belt | 15% |
| Brutal Impaler | Epic | Spear | 15% |
| Greed | Epic | Dagger | 15% |
| Enhanced Viper | Unique | Short Bow | 15% |
| Viper | Unique | Short Bow | 12% |
All six of the items that give a coin bonus also give an EXP bonus. In addition to the list there's Annihilator: it only gives EXP, no coins.
Watch out when doing the math
- The bonus is added as a percentage, not a fixed number. The higher your hourly income, the bigger the bonus's return.
- The bonus depends on the tier. The 1% bonus of a Greed you haven't upgraded changes practically nothing.
- Don't ignore the weapon's attack power. Killing slower with a weaker weapon can more than wipe out the bonus.
- Because Aurora Belt is a belt it doesn't restrict your weapon choice; if you want both bonuses at once, belt + a suitable weapon can be used together.
- Coin and EXP bonus are different things. If you want to level, look at EXP; if you want to save money, the coin side.
