SAPPHIRE Star: how the drop bonus affects the Won price
Star is one of the SAPPHIRE servers that opened on 8 August 2025. Access is bought with a one-time payment and the item drop chance is higher than on standard servers. Both concern the Won price directly.
What a SAPPHIRE server is
SAPPHIRE is Metin2's paid-access server series. Not a monthly subscription: you pay once and the server is unlocked permanently. Star went live on 8 August 2025 together with its sibling Safir.
The server has six channels and runs with different settings from the standard servers; the item drop chance has been raised by roughly half. That changes the economy as much as it changes the game.
Where the Star price stands right now
Right now 7 sites give a price for Star. 1 Won is 9.2 ₺ at the cheapest and 20.7 ₺ at the most expensive. The 11.5 ₺ (124.6%) in between is the price of nothing but which site you click.
Star ranks 4th by price among 11 servers. The cheapest server is Marmara; there 1 Won is 6.82 ₺, a 1.35× gap.
Over the last 30 days the price moved between 8.99 ₺ and 9.45 ₺; the band is 5.1% wide.
The two SAPPHIRE servers side by side
Star and Safir opened on the same day with the same rules. The price gap between them comes from player density, not from server settings.
| Server | 1 Won price |
|---|---|
| Star | 9.2 ₺ |
| Safir | 9.7 ₺ |
What a high drop rate does to the Won price
A higher item drop chance works in two directions at once. On one hand more items drop, they get sold on the market and more yang enters circulation — the supply side grows. On the other hand the same abundance pulls item prices down, so the buying power of yang rises.
Paid access has an effect too: on a server you cannot enter without paying, running an automated farm account costs more. That means the yang supply does not swell as fast as on standard servers.
Because the two work in opposite directions, there is no rule that says "Won is cheap on Sapphire" or "expensive". Looking at the table above and the 30-day chart beats looking at a rule of thumb.
When buying Won for Star
Seller sites list this server sometimes as "SAPPHIRE Star", sometimes just "Star". Both are the same server; but take care not to confuse it with "Safir", which is a separate server and a separate economy.
Remember that converting yang to won inside the game goes through the warehouse keeper: buying 1 won costs 103 M yang, and cashing it back gives you 100 M. So the game has a spread of its own; the sites' buy-sell gap sits on top of it.
The numbers are calculated from the sites' current prices and open listings and refresh with the page. The text was last reviewed on 2026-09-03.
