Knight Online stat distribution: where do 302 points go?

2026-09-13 7 min read
Short answer

Stat points come 3 per level up to level 60 and 5 per level after 60; at level 83 you have 302 points in total. Most of the distribution is decided by the set requirement: Warrior's and Rogue's top sets want 94 HP, Priest's 94 STR and 176 INT, Mage's 160 INT. Once the requirement is met the math for the remaining points is simple — on Warrior 1 STR is about 6 AP, 1 HP point about 29 HP. Once the main stat you've distributed passes 150, every point gives 1 AP more; Rogue doesn't get this bonus.

How many points do you have?

Level Total stat points Note
1 10 Starting
30 97 3 points per level
50 157
60 187 5 points per level after this
70 237
80 287
83 302 2 more points per rebirth

The math: (level − 1) × 3 + 10 up to level 60, then 2 more points per level after that. The class's starting stats aren't included in these points — those come with the character, you distribute on top.

Starting stats of the classes

Class STR HP DEX MP INT
Warrior 65 65 60 50 50
Rogue 60 60 70 50 50
Priest 50 60 60 50 70
Mage 50 50 70 50 70
Kurian 65 65 60 50 50

Every class's main stat already starts high: Warrior 65 STR, Rogue 70 DEX, Mage and Priest 70 INT. You start from this base when working out the set requirement.

Set requirement first, then preference

Most of the stat distribution isn't your decision, it's the decision of the set you'll wear. In the game's item table every armor piece has a stat requirement, and all the top sets ask for the same numbers.

Warrior's Chitin Shell, Secret, Dragon Scale, Hepa and Draki top pieces want 176 STR and 94 HP; Krowaz and Rosetta 196 STR and 94 HP. On Rogue the same sets want 176 DEX and 94 HP, Krowaz and Rosetta 196 DEX. Kurian's Krowaz Portu top piece wants 152 STR and 94 HP.

Priest's Chitin Shell, Krowaz, Rosetta and Trial top pieces want 94 STR and 176 INT. Mage's Crimson, Complete, Krowaz, Rosetta and Ron's Robe want only 160 INT — Mage's top set has no HP requirement.

So the first answer to "how much should I put into HP" is 94: all of Warrior's, Rogue's and Kurian's top sets ask for exactly that number. Below it you can't wear the set; above it is preference.

The minimum distribution the set forces (level 83)

Class Set requirement To add from base Forced total Left free
Warrior 176 STR · 94 HP +111 STR · +29 HP 140 162
Rogue 176 DEX · 94 HP +106 DEX · +34 HP 140 162
Priest 94 STR · 176 INT +44 STR · +106 INT 150 152
Mage 160 INT +90 INT 90 212
Kurian 152 STR · 94 HP +87 STR · +29 HP 116 186

For Warrior and Rogue who'll wear Krowaz and Rosetta the main stat requirement is 196; the forced total rises to 160 and what's left free drops to 142. The requirements are the values in the game's item table; you can see what each piece asks for piece by piece in the character builder.

What do the free points buy?

1 main stat is how much AP, 1 HP point is how much HP?

In the game's AP formula the main stat, the weapon's AP and the level are multiplied together; so the answer to "1 STR = this much AP" changes with the weapon. The numbers below were calculated at level 83 with each class's common +8 weapon.

On Warrior with Raptor +8, 1 STR gives about 6 AP, 1 HP point about 29 HP. On Kurian with Raptor +8, 1 STR is 4 AP, 1 HP point 22 HP. On Priest with Iron Impact +8, 1 STR is 4 AP, 1 HP point 18 HP. On Rogue with Shard +8, 1 DEX is 3 AP, with Iron Bow +8 5 AP; 1 HP point 18 HP. On Mage with Chaotic Staff +8, 1 STR is 2 AP, 1 HP point 15 HP.

HP points have one more side effect: every HP point above 100 also gives 1 AC (except Kurian). INT's side effect is resistance — every 2 INT points above 100 add 1 to all six resistances.

The above-150 bonus

Once the points you distribute into the main stat pass 150 the formula adds a bonus on top: 1 more AP for every point over. On Warrior 1 STR gives 6 AP below 150 and 7 AP above, on Priest it goes from 4 to 6.

This bonus looks at the distributed points, not the total stat — STR from accessories and rebirth points don't count toward the bonus, only the core goes into the math. Rogue doesn't get this bonus at all; putting DEX above 150 has no extra return.

Upshot: on Warrior, Priest, Mage and Kurian, passing 150 in the main stat is a threshold the formula rewards. Because the set requirement already brings Warrior to 111, going from there to 150 is 39 more points.

The difference between two extreme splits (level 83, +8 weapon)

Class All 302 into main stat 150 main stat + 152 HP Difference
Warrior 2,358 AP · 1,915 HP 1,309 AP · 6,348 HP 1,049 AP ↔ 4,433 HP
Kurian 1,674 AP · 1,468 HP 908 AP · 4,853 HP 766 AP ↔ 3,385 HP
Priest (club) 1,822 AP · 1,150 HP 966 AP · 4,012 HP 856 AP ↔ 2,862 HP
Rogue (bow) 1,768 AP · 1,150 HP 1,057 AP · 4,012 HP 711 AP ↔ 2,862 HP
Rogue (dagger) 1,208 AP · 1,150 HP 724 AP · 4,012 HP 484 AP ↔ 2,862 HP
Mage 928 AP · 789 HP 453 AP · 3,128 HP 475 AP ↔ 2,339 HP

The HP column shows only HP from stats; set, accessories and buffs go on top. Neither extreme is really wearable — the split we call "all into main stat" doesn't meet the 94 HP requirement. The aim is to show the exchange rate: on Warrior you get 4 HP for giving up 1 AP, on Mage 5 HP.

What it means class by class

Warrior and Kurian

The set requirement already forces 94 HP and 176 STR; the choice for the remaining 162 points is between STR's above-150 bonus and HP's above-100 AC bonus. Getting STR to 150 needs 39 more points, HP to 100 needs 6 more.

On Kurian, HP has no AC bonus and 1 STR gives less AP (4 versus 6). Kurian's set requirement is lower too (152 STR), so its free points are 24 more than Warrior's.

Rogue

Because Rogue has no above-150 bonus, taking DEX above 150 stays flat in the formula. On a bow Rogue 1 DEX gives 5 AP, on a dagger Rogue 3 AP — the same DEX, a different result by weapon.

That's why on Rogue putting HP above 94 costs less than on Warrior: the AP you give up is smaller, the HP and above-100 AC you get are the same.

Priest and Mage: INT required, STR preference

Priest's sets want 176 INT and INT past 100 shows in resistance too. The STR requirement is only 94 — so the split we call "INT priest" is really the split the set forces. Putting STR above 94 is for the "STR priest" who wants to hit with a club like Iron Impact: there 1 STR gives 4 AP, 6 AP above 150.

On Mage the set wants 160 INT and there's no HP requirement. Mage's AP formula also runs on STR but the coefficient is small — 1 STR is 2 AP. Where the 212 free points go is a more open choice on Mage than on the other classes; because spell damage is outside this formula we don't give numbers for it here.

Common mistakes when distributing stats

  • Distributing without looking at the set requirement. Below 94 HP Warrior and Rogue can't wear the top set; Priest below 176 INT, Mage below 160 INT.
  • Putting far more than the requirement into HP. After 94 it's preference, and for every HP point you give up AP from the main stat.
  • Not knowing the above-150 bonus. On Warrior, Priest, Mage and Kurian, passing 150 in the main stat makes every point worth 1 AP more.
  • Expecting the 150 bonus on Rogue. There isn't one; DEX's return is flat.
  • Taking accessory stats for distributed points. STR from accessories counts toward the set requirement but not the 150 bonus.
  • Forgetting rebirth points. Every rebirth gives 2 more points and they go into the core math.
  • Trying in game and resetting. Restat is 53 million coins at level 83; reset fees rise with level. Try it first in the AP calculator and character builder.
The point budget, starting stats, AP and HP coefficients come from the game formula used by the site's [AP calculator](/en/ap-calculator) and [character builder](/en/character-builder); the set requirements were read from the game's own item table. Weapon AP values were taken from the list in the [AP calculator](/en/ap-calculator). Spell damage is outside this formula, so no numbers were written for the spell side of Mage and Priest.

Frequently asked

3 points per level up to level 60, 5 per level after 60. You start with 10 points. At level 83 you have 302 stat points in total; every rebirth adds 2 more.

At least 94. All of the Chitin Shell, Krowaz, Rosetta, Secret and Dragon Scale top pieces want 94 HP; because you start at 65 you need to distribute 29 points. Above that is preference: at level 83 every HP point is about 29 HP, and every point above 100 gives 1 AC too.

Both are required for the set: the top pieces want 94 STR and 176 INT. That forced part is 150 points. Where the remaining 152 go depends on your style — STR if you'll hit with a club (1 STR is 4 AP, 6 AP above 150), INT if you're healing and buff focused (every 2 INT above 100 add 1 to all six resistances).

Once the points you distribute into the main stat pass 150, every point over adds 1 more AP to the formula. On Warrior 1 STR goes from 6 AP to 7 AP, on Priest from 4 to 6. Stats from accessories and rebirth points don't count toward this bonus. Rogue doesn't get it.

There's no set requirement: Mage's top robes want only 160 INT. Putting into HP is entirely preference; at level 83 every HP point gives about 15 HP and every point above 100 adds 1 AC.

Depends on the weapon and level. At level 83 with a +8 weapon: Warrior (Raptor) 6 AP, Kurian (Raptor) 4 AP, Priest (Iron Impact) 4 AP, Mage (Chaotic Staff) 2 AP. On Rogue the main stat is DEX: 5 AP with a bow, 3 AP with a dagger. Once the distributed main stat passes 150, all except Rogue get 1 AP more.

Yes, the set requirement looks at the total stat; reaching 176 with accessories and buffs is possible. But the above-150 AP bonus looks only at distributed points; the part from accessories doesn't count toward that bonus.

The restat fee rises with level; at level 83 it's around 53 million coins. So instead of trying the split in game, building it first in the AP calculator and character builder is much cheaper.
