Knight Online Warrior skills: which skill needs how many points, at what level?

2026-09-13 6 min read
Short answer

Warrior has six trees: Base, Attack, Defense, Endurance, Extra and Master; 76 skills in total. The top skill of Attack and Defense needs 80 points, Endurance's needs 83. Because you have 146 points at level 83, you can open one tree to the end and carry the second only to 60 — or take two trees to 70. Three skills open at 70 points: Howling Sword, Iron Skin and Berserker. The 83-point Battle Cry and Cry Echo are only at level 83, only in the Endurance tree.

The point math first

Skill points start coming after level 10 and each level gives 2 points. At level 83 you have 146 points.

Two rules decide everything. First: every skill has a point threshold in the tree it belongs to, and the skill doesn't open until you fill it. Second: the points you put into a tree can't exceed your character level.

The second rule leads to this — Hell Blade, which needs 80 points, opens at level 80 at the earliest; Howling Sword, which needs 70, at level 70. Even if you have the points, if your level isn't enough that skill stays closed.

Warrior's six trees

Tree Skills Highest threshold What it does
Base 7 50 points Skills that open before picking a specialization
Attack 17 80 points Damage skills, from 70% to 300%
Defense 14 80 points Passives, control and defense boosts
Endurance 26 83 points HP, MP, buffs and mixed damage
Extra 9 23 points Cheap passives and individually strong skills
Master 3 1 point Weapon master buffs, 1 point each

76 skills in total. The most crowded tree is Endurance with 26 skills, and the game's only 83-point threshold is there too. The skill count of every class is on the unlocking skills page.

How far do 146 points go?

The top skills are Hell Blade in Attack and Iron Body in Defense at 80 points, and Battle Cry and Cry Echo in Endurance at 83 points. You have 146 points, so opening two trees to the end at once isn't possible: even 80 + 80 needs 160 points.

In practice three routes remain. First, 80 + 60: you open one tree to the end, go up to the 60-point skill in the second, 6 points left over. Second, 70 + 70: you take both trees' 70 skills, again 6 points left over. Third, 83 + 60: you open Endurance to the end and take Battle Cry and Cry Echo, stop at 60 in the second tree, 3 points left over.

The leftover points reach Crash (5 points) in the Base tree or Absoluteness (5 points) in the Extra tree. That's why the "how many points do I have left" math has to be done beforehand, not in game — fixing a wrong split costs 79.5 million coins at level 83, and reset fees rise with level.

Top skills: how many points, earliest level

Points Earliest level Attack Defense Endurance
60 60 Sword Dancing Sacrifice Blade Of Hell · Echo
70 70 Howling Sword Iron Skin Berserker
75 75 Blooding Wall Of Iron Berserk Echo
80 80 Hell Blade Iron Body Hp Booster
83 83 Battle Cry · Cry Echo

The 83-point row is the only one of its kind in the game: it exists only in the Endurance tree, and because the points put into a tree can't exceed your character level, Battle Cry and Cry Echo open only at level 83.

What's in each tree?

Attack: this is where the damage comes from

17 skills and all of them melee. The damage percentage rises steadily: Hoodwink 150% at 5 points, Cleave 250% at 45, Howling Sword 300% at 70, Hell Blade 300% at 80.

The thing to watch is MP cost. Hoodwink runs on 30 MP while Hell Blade needs 400 and Howling Sword 400 MP. The top skills are strong on paper, but if your MP pool isn't enough they find no place in the rotation.

Cooldowns diverge too: most skills wait 0.5 seconds, but Blooding waits 21 seconds. If a skill that does 200% damage works once every 21 seconds, its contribution to damage per second is less than you'd think.

Endurance: buffs and HP

This is the tree that keeps a Warrior standing. Gain at 5 points gives 15 STR for 300 seconds, Rise at 10 adds 10 HP. Regeneration at 50 restores 1,500 HP over 60 seconds.

Berserker opens at 70: it raises attack to 120% but drops 300 AC in return and lasts only 20 seconds. At the top of the tree, at 83 points, there are two more skills: Battle Cry adds 100 AC and 15 to four stats for 60 seconds (1,000 MP), Cry Echo is a hit with 300% damage. This is the only 83-point threshold in the game, so these two skills open only at level 83 and only if you put 83 points into this tree.

Berserker's −300 AC is the most misunderstood part of this tree: the skill raises attack but leaves you paper-thin. Toggling it in PK is a different job from keeping it on all the time while farming.

Defense, Extra and Master

Most of the Defense tree is passive: Hinder, Resist, Arrest, Endure, Bulwark, Immunity, Evading, Iron Skin, Iron Body. They open as you put in points and you don't need to use them. The active ones are Binding (30 points, control), Provoke (45 points, 300-second cooldown) and Wall Of Iron at 75 — raises defense to 300% for 10 seconds, halves run speed in return.

The Extra tree is cheap and efficient: its top skill is at 20 points. Shock Stun at 20 points gives 200% damage and a stun, Exceed Break at 15 gives 200% damage. It's the one tree where you get something concrete for few points.

The three skills in the Master tree cost one point each. Determination raises attack to 130% for 30 seconds, Belief makes magic power 130%, Whipping doubles run speed for 1,200 seconds. The three cost 3 points in total — not an investment to skip.

Common mistakes when spending Warrior skill points

  • Trying to take two trees to 80 at once. 146 points aren't enough for that; there's no option other than 80 + 60 or 70 + 70.
  • Forgetting the level requirement. An 80-point skill opens at level 80 at the earliest; at level 70 you can't put 80 points into a tree.
  • Not looking at MP cost. Hell Blade and Howling Sword need 400 MP; on a character with a small MP pool these skills don't work in the rotation.
  • Skipping the cooldown. Blooding gives 200% damage but waits 21 seconds; Provoke waits 300 seconds.
  • Leaving the Master tree empty. Three skills cost 3 points in total and one makes attack 130%.
  • Keeping Berserker on all the time. It makes attack 120% but drops 300 AC and lasts 20 seconds.
  • Testing the plan in game. Building the split in the skill planner is free; trying it in game and resetting is expensive.

Frequently asked

Six: Base, Attack, Defense, Endurance, Extra and Master. Together they hold 76 skills. The most crowded is Endurance with 26. The top skill of Attack and Defense needs 80 points while Endurance's needs 83, Extra stays at 23 and Master at 1 point.

Three skills open at 70 points: Howling Sword in Attack (300% damage), Iron Skin in Defense, Berserker in Endurance. The 70 + 70 split is chosen to take this threshold in both trees at once.

146. Points start coming after level 10 and every level gives 2, so (83 − 10) × 2 = 146. The points you can put in one tree can't exceed your character level.

No. Taking two trees to 80 needs 160 points, you have 146. Three workable splits remain: 80 + 60, 70 + 70, or taking Endurance to 83 and stopping at 60 in the second tree.

By percentage Howling Sword and Hell Blade lead with 300%; Cry Echo and Berserk Echo also give 300%. All of them sit at the top steps and need 400-500 MP, so if your MP pool isn't enough they don't go into the rotation.

The Master tree has three skills and each needs 1 point. Determination raises attack to 130% for 30 seconds, Belief makes magic power 130%, Whipping doubles run speed for 1,200 seconds. No other tree gives this much for 3 points in total.

Depends. It raises attack to 120% but drops defense by 300 and lasts only 20 seconds. Toggling it in a controlled PK moment makes sense; keeping it on all the time while farming makes you needlessly fragile.

The control skills are Binding (30 points) and Provoke (45 points, 300-second cooldown) in the Defense tree, and Shock Stun (20 points, 200% damage) in the Extra tree. The one in the Extra tree is the cheapest, needing only 20 points.
