Dryads: where three servers merged in a single night
Dryads is not a newly opened server. On 23 February 2023, Altar, Vega and Sirius were merged and Dryads came out of it. The coins of three separate economies were pooled that night.
How Dryads was formed
Dryads was formed on 23 February 2023 by merging the Altar, Vega and Sirius servers. The characters, items and coins of the three servers were moved into one; three separate communities met in a single market.
That is why the answer to "when did Dryads open" is misleading. The server was formed in 2023, but the economy inside it goes back much further — everything Altar, Vega and Sirius accumulated over the years came here.
Where the Dryads price stands right now
Right now 9 sites give a price for Dryads. 1 GB is 285 ₺ at the cheapest and 300 ₺ at the most expensive. The 15 ₺ (5.3%) in between is the price of nothing but which site you click.
Dryads ranks 6th by price among 8 servers. The cheapest server is Felis; there 1 GB is 190 ₺, a 1.5× gap.
Over the last 30 days the price moved between 245 ₺ and 289 ₺; the band is 18% wide. Compared with the start of the month it is 16.3% higher.
How deep the Dryads market is
The item market shows how busy a server is. The number of open listings measures how much trading goes on there; Dryads sits in the middle of the list.
On the Dryads market there are 2,597 open listings for 719 different items right now. That is 8% of all the Knight Online listings we track; 5th server in the ranking.
The gap to Zero at the top of the list is 4.4×. Same game, same items; the only thing that makes the difference is how many people are there. That directly affects your odds of finding the item you want in a listing.
| Server | Item types | Open listings |
|---|---|---|
| Zero | 1,381 | 11,416 |
| Oreads | 1,289 | 4,737 |
| Agartha | 858 | 4,550 |
| Pandora | 930 | 4,325 |
| Dryads | 719 | 2,597 |
| Destan | 877 | 2,339 |
| Minark | 676 | 1,497 |
| Felis | 390 | 891 |
The same item costs more GB here
Looking at the 1 GB price, Dryads is 0.89× Oreads. But that is not what a player really asks: how many GB does the same item cost on the two servers?
We compared 202 items that have at least three listings on both servers. In TRY, Dryads prices are 1.19× Oreads. Convert the same items into GB and the ratio becomes 1.34.
Measured in GB, items are 33.8% more expensive on Dryads: one GB buys fewer items here. Because the 1 GB price differs between the two servers as well, the TRY comparison alone is misleading; this ratio is the one to look at.
| Dryads / Oreads | Ratio |
|---|---|
| 1 GB price (TRY) | 0.89× |
| Item price (TRY) | 1.19× |
| Item price (GB) | 1.34× |
Median of 202 shared items; each is listed on both servers with at least three listings. Below 1 favours Dryads.
What a merge does to a server's price
A merge is a rare event that changes supply and demand at the same time. The coins add up, and so do the players. Which way the price goes depends on which grew more; that is why pre-merge predictions of "GB will shoot up" or "it will crash" usually miss.
The one certain thing is that the market deepens. When the listings of three servers gather in one list, your odds of finding the item you want rise and sellers start competing with each other. You can see where Dryads stands today in the depth table below.
A merge also has an invisible side: character name clashes, clan merges, market prices taking a while to settle. That transition is behind Dryads now; today's price is the price of a settled market.
When buying for Dryads
Some seller sites keep old server names in their lists for a long time. If you see a product that says Altar, Vega or Sirius, it is out of date; pick the product listed as Dryads.
