Dryads is not a newly opened server. On 23 February 2023, Altar, Vega and Sirius were merged and Dryads came out of it. The coins of three separate economies were pooled that night.
How Dryads was formed
Dryads was formed on 23 February 2023 by merging the Altar, Vega and Sirius servers. The characters, items and coins of the three servers were moved into one; three separate communities met in a single market.
That is why the answer to "when did Dryads open" is misleading. The server was formed in 2023, but the economy inside it goes back much further — everything Altar, Vega and Sirius accumulated over the years came here.

What a merge does to a server's price
A merge is a rare event that changes supply and demand at the same time. The coins add up, and so do the players. Which way the price goes depends on which grew more; that is why pre-merge predictions of "GB will shoot up" or "it will crash" usually miss.
