Pandora: the liveliest market outside Zero
Pandora opened on 17 November 2022 together with Agartha and Felis. Today, by the number of listings on the item market, it is the deepest market after Zero.
What kind of server Pandora is
Pandora opened on 17 November 2022, at the same moment as Agartha and Felis. All three started from scratch; no characters or items came in from outside.
When Zero opened three weeks later, some players drifted there, but Pandora came out of that period with its crowd intact. Looking at open listings today, it is the deepest market after Zero — meaning your odds of finding the item you want are high.
Where the Pandora price stands right now
Right now 9 sites give a price for Pandora. 1 GB is 399 ₺ at the cheapest and 412 ₺ at the most expensive. The 13 ₺ (3.3%) in between is the price of nothing but which site you click.
Pandora ranks 2nd by price among 8 servers. The cheapest server is Felis; there 1 GB is 190 ₺, a 2.1× gap.
Over the last 30 days the price moved between 345 ₺ and 399 ₺; the band is 15.7% wide. Compared with the start of the month it is 10.8% higher.
Three servers that opened the same day, side by side
The three servers below opened on 17 November 2022 at the same hour, on the same version. Same age, same game; the only thing that differs is how many people stayed where. This is the cleanest table for showing what separates the prices.
| Server | 1 GB price | Open item listings |
|---|---|---|
| Pandora | 399 ₺ | 4,325 |
| Agartha | 394 ₺ | 4,550 |
| Felis | 190 ₺ | 891 |
The price gap and the listings gap point the same way.
How deep the Pandora market is
The item market shows how busy a server is. The number of open listings measures how much trading goes on there; Pandora sits in the middle of the list.
On the Pandora market there are 4,325 open listings for 930 different items right now. That is 13.4% of all the Knight Online listings we track; 4th server in the ranking.
The gap to Felis at the bottom is 4.85×. Both servers run the same game and drop the same items; the only thing that makes the difference is how many people are there.
| Server | Item types | Open listings |
|---|---|---|
| Zero | 1,381 | 11,416 |
| Oreads | 1,289 | 4,737 |
| Agartha | 858 | 4,550 |
| Pandora | 930 | 4,325 |
| Dryads | 719 | 2,597 |
| Destan | 877 | 2,339 |
| Minark | 676 | 1,497 |
| Felis | 390 | 891 |
The same item costs more GB here
Looking at the 1 GB price, Pandora is 1.01× Agartha. But that is not what a player really asks: how many GB does the same item cost on the two servers?
We compared 374 items that have at least three listings on both servers. In TRY, Pandora prices are 1.07× Agartha. Convert the same items into GB and the ratio becomes 1.06.
Measured in GB, items are 6% more expensive on Pandora: one GB buys fewer items here. Because the 1 GB price differs between the two servers as well, the TRY comparison alone is misleading; this ratio is the one to look at.
| Pandora / Agartha | Ratio |
|---|---|
| 1 GB price (TRY) | 1.01× |
| Item price (TRY) | 1.07× |
| Item price (GB) | 1.06× |
Median of 374 shared items; each is listed on both servers with at least three listings. Below 1 favours Pandora.
Why market depth matters
GB being cheap on a server means nothing on its own; what matters is what you can buy with it. Market depth measures exactly that: how many different items are listed, and how many sellers there are for each.
In a deep market you win twice. First, the item you want is probably listed. Second, with more than one seller, prices compete — in a shallow market, whatever the single listing owner says goes.
Pandora's GB price is below Zero's, but its market comes right after it. When choosing a server, weighing these two together is sounder than looking at price alone.
When buying for Pandora
Pandora and Agartha usually sit side by side on the price list with prices close to each other. That makes picking the wrong row on the order screen easy; and since there is no transfer between servers, a wrong purchase has no way back.
