Knight Online Kurian skills: Berserk, Devil Transformation and the 10-minute cooldown

2026-09-13 5 min read
Short answer

Kurian has six trees: Base, Attack (23 skills), Defense (14), Support (15), Awakening (5) and Master (3); 66 skills in total. The Defense tree is almost identical to Warrior's, the Support tree is Priest's healing skills adapted to Kurian. Awakening exists only on Kurian and gives Berserk at 8 points: attack 150% for 20 seconds, but defense 1%. With the 146 points at level 83 you can take one of the three main trees to 80 and the second to 60.

Kurian is a mix of three classes

Kurian is the class added later and its skill trees show it. 13 of the 14 skills in the Defense tree are the same as Warrior's Defense tree — Hinder, Resist, Arrest, Endure, Binding, Bulwark, Immunity, Provoke, Descent, Evading, Sacrifice, Iron Skin, Wall Of Iron. Only the 80-point skill differs: Iron Body on Warrior, Iron Linker on Kurian.

The Support tree looks at Priest: Minor Healing, Major Healing, Power Healing and their group versions. But the numbers are smaller than Priest's; Kurian's Power Healing at 35 points heals 480 while Priest's Massive Healing at 36 points heals 960.

Two trees remain that make Kurian Kurian: the 23-skill Attack tree and Awakening, which exists only on this class.

Kurian's six trees

Tree Skills Highest threshold What it gives
Base 6 50 points First hit skills and Defense
Attack 23 80 points Melee, Pull and Crouch
Defense 14 80 points Passives and control shared with Warrior
Support 15 80 points Healing, Drakey curses, Devil Transformation
Awakening 5 20 points Berserk, Thunderstorm, Divide Armor
Master 3 1 point Weapon master buffs, 1 point each

66 skills in total — the fewest of the five classes. The comparison of all classes is on the unlocking skills page.

What's in each tree?

Awakening: five skills for 20 points

The smallest tree but the most talked about. The Awakening passive at 2 points, Berserk at 8, Matchless and Thunderstorm at 10, Divide Armor at 20. The whole tree costs 20 points.

Berserk's numbers are harsh: for 20 seconds attack goes to 150% and defense drops to 1%. It needs 1,500 MP and has a 300-second cooldown. So once every five minutes, for twenty seconds, you become a character that hits twice as hard with no defense.

Divide Armor does the opposite: adds 100 AC for 5 seconds, pulls defense and run speed to 50%, 30-second cooldown. Thunderstorm is used once every 180 seconds for 1,200 MP.

Attack: from 70% to 300%, ending with Crouch

With 23 skills, Kurian's most crowded tree. The percentages climb: Slug 150% at 6 points, Quickslug 150% at 30, Quickbleeding 200% at 48, Slice Cutting 250% at 60, Hammer Ledge 250% at 63, Critical Bleeding 300% at 75.

Some skills come at two tiers under the same name — Slice Cutting is at both 0 and 60 points, the second hits 250%. That's the confusing point when reading the tree: seeing the same name and skipping it as "already have it" means missing the higher tier.

Pull at 70 points isn't a damage skill; it's a pull used once every 45 seconds for 700 MP. Crouch at 80 points raises defense to 200% and drops attack to 30% for 10 seconds, needs 900 MP, 180-second cooldown. Berserk's mirror image.

Support: healing and the Drakey curses

The tree does two jobs. The healing side starts with Minor Healing (100) at 3 points and rises to Cure Of Spirit (1,280) at 60 and Echo Of Spirit (1,280) at 65; at 55 there's another Cure Of Spirit that regenerates 1,920 over 30 seconds — same name, different job.

The curse side is the Drakey series: Drakey's Power at 7 points does 98 over 20 seconds, Drakey's Nemesis at 20 does 205, Drakey's Curse at 50 does 500 over 15 seconds. The second Drakey's Curse at 75 goes to 1,000 but needs 1,500 MP.

Demolition Of Devil at the top of the tree has the longest cooldown in the game: 600 seconds. 1,500 MP and ten minutes for 1,000 damage over 15 seconds. Devil Transformation at 10 points is a transformation lasting 600 seconds, with a 300-second cooldown.

Top skills: how many points, earliest level

Points Earliest level Attack Defense Support
60 60 Slice Cutting · 250% Sacrifice Cure Of Spirit · 1,280
63-66 63-66 Hammer Ledge · 250% · Critical Smash Echo Of Spirit · 1,280
70 70 Pull Iron Skin
75 75 Critical Bleeding · 300% Wall Of Iron Drakey's Curse · 1,000
80 80 Crouch Iron Linker Demolition Of Devil

How far do 146 points go?

The top skill of the three main trees is at 80. Taking two to 80 at once needs 160 points; you have 146. The workable splits are 80 + 60 and 70 + 70, with 6 points left over in both.

On Kurian the math goes one step further, because the whole Awakening tree is 20 points. With 80 + 40 + 20 you have one tree to the end, all five of Awakening, and the second tree up to its 40-point skill; 6 points left over.

Taking Berserk with just 8 points is possible too: 80 + 58 + 8. Then you go up to the 57-point skill in the second tree — Critical Thunder in Attack, the regeneration tier of Cure Of Spirit in Support.

Fixing a wrong split costs 79.5 million coins at level 83; reset fees rise with level. Building the split first in the skill planner is free.

Common mistakes when spending Kurian skill points

  • Keeping Berserk on while farming. It drops defense to 1%; it's a 20-second PK tool with a 300-second cooldown.
  • Skipping the higher tier of a same-name skill. Slice Cutting, Cure Of Spirit and Drakey's Curse come in two tiers.
  • Putting Demolition Of Devil in the rotation. 600-second cooldown; a skill that works once every ten minutes isn't a rotation, it's a one-off move.
  • Trying to take two trees to 80 at once. It needs 160 points, you have 146.
  • Leaving Awakening empty. The whole tree is 20 points and Berserk is at 8; the cheapest power boost is here.
  • Ignoring the MP pool. Berserk needs 1,500, Thunderstorm 1,200, Drakey's Curse 1,500 MP.
  • Skipping the Master tree. Three skills for 3 points in total; Determination makes attack 130%.

It opens at 8 points in the Awakening tree. For 20 seconds it raises attack to 150% but drops defense to 1%. It needs 1,500 MP and has a 300-second cooldown; so a twenty-second burst once every five minutes.

At 10 points in the Support tree. With 100 MP and a 3-second cast it lasts 600 seconds and has a 300-second cooldown. So its duration is longer than its cooldown; when it ends it can be cast again.

Demolition Of Devil in Kurian's Support tree, 600 seconds. It opens at 80 points, needs 1,500 MP and does 1,000 damage over 15 seconds. Berserk, Devil Transformation and Provoke are second with 300 seconds.

13 of the 14 skills are the same: Hinder, Resist, Arrest, Endure, Binding, Bulwark, Immunity, Provoke, Descent, Evading, Sacrifice, Iron Skin and Wall Of Iron at the same thresholds. The only difference is at 80 points: Iron Body on Warrior, Iron Linker on Kurian.
